Watson Fields Assisted Living Facility

Watson Fields was developed in 2009 to complement the successful fill-up of our first dementia-specialized facility, Bellamy Fields.

The need for medical assisted living to fill the gaps left by traditional skilled nursing facilities has led to many changes in the delivery of health care and hospitality. Skilled facilities have many successful programs but most don't serve people with multiple chronic conditions and are especially challenged to accommodate people with dementia and one or more medical problems.

Watson Fields developed expertise in multiple chronic conditions' management and particularly those with pre-existing dementia or dementia occurring later in residents' lives.

Watson added Medicare-covered palliative care and hospice services, so guests and families can be assured that they won't have to move anytime for more care.

Expenses are reasonable for the private pay guests since they don't subsidize Medicaid residents, like many facilities that mix reimbursements. Long term care insurance, Veterans' benefits and similar payors all approve Watson's level of care.

Like Bellamy, Watson is a secure, single story building in a pastoral New England setting. The local hospital and medical offices are only a mile away and Watson offers travel and companionship to medical appointments.

When you feel well, you eat well and restaurant-quality food for residents and the guests (at no charge) make the hospitality and daily activities programs a complete package.
