Types of Housing/Care Search Definitions
Adult Day Care Adult Day Care Adult Day Care services allow eligible senior adults to be in supervised group settings during day-time hours for one to five days per week. There are two types of adult day care services: Adult Medical Day Care and Adult Group Day Care. Adult Medical Day Care provides medically oriented services such as nursing, personal care, medication management, physical and occupational therapies, meals and socialization. Adult Group Day Care (often referred to as Social Day Care) provides supervised socialization with a therapeutic focus, some assistance with mobility, a meal and other activities.
Affordable Senior Housing Affordable Senior Housing HUD 202 Program that offers rental assistance for seniors who meet the requirements of the federal program.
Assisted Living/Residential Care Assisted Living Provide support for adults who qualify for care in residential settings. Residential care facilities are community-based settings that allow for maximum individual independence while tailoring services to individual needs.
Home Care Service Provider Agency Home Care
Home Care Service Provider Agency (HCSPA) means any organization or business entity which is engaged in providing, through its employees, personal care services and/or homemaker services which may be of a supportive nature to persons in their places of residence.
Home Health Care Provider Home Care
Any organization or business entity which is engaged in arranging or providing one or more of the following services: nursing services, home health aide services, or other therapeutic and related services which may be of a preventative, therapeutic, rehabilitative, health guidance or supportive nature to persons in their places of residence.
Hospice Hospice Hospice means a program focusing on providing terminally ill patients and their families with palliative care and social, spiritual, and counseling services.
Nursing Home Care Nursing Nursing Home Care provides services for eligible individuals who are ill, frail and need 24-hour nursing care and supervision.
Supported Residential Health Care Facility Assisted Living Residence A long-term care residence providing personal assistance at the supported residential care level.
