Types of Housing/Care Search Definitions
Affordable Senior Housing Affordable Senior Housing HUD 202 Program that offers rental assistance for seniors who meet the requirements of the federal program.
Assisted Living Assisted Living Assisted Living offers a residential arrangement, for a fee, for dependent elderly and adults with disabilities. ASL provides assistance with activities of daily living and other services that promote seniors’ quality of life.
Home Health Agencies Home Care Home Health Agencies provide services that help seniors’ function as independently as possible in their own homes. Home Health Care involves medically-oriented care, ranging from dressing changes by a trained, supervised aide, to physical therapy, education and self-care provided by a licensed professional.
Hospice Hospice A coordinated program of home, outpatient, and inpatient care and services to hospice patients, and families, through a medically directed interdisciplinary team in order to meet the physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and other special needs that are experienced during the final stages of illness, dying, and bereavement
Nursing Homes Nursing A business entity that is engaged in providing housing, meals and care to sick or disabled individuals who require, on a daily basis or more frequently, medical care, nursing care, or rehabilitation services.
Personal Assistance Services Agencies Home Care Personal Assistance Services means the provision of services for compensation that do not require the judgment and skills of a licensed nurse or other professional. The services are limited to individual assistance with/or supervision of activities of daily living, companion services, transportation services, homemaker services, reporting changes in consumer’s condition and completing reports. These services do not require physician’s orders.
