Types of Housing/Care	Search	Definitions
Home Health Agency	Home Care	A Home Health Agency includes a person that provides or offers to provide only home health services for compensation. Home health services include the following: nursing treatment and procedures, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social services, home health aide services, and other therapeutic services.
Hospice	Hospice	Hospice Care is a public agency or private organization or subdivision of either of these that is primarily engaged in providing care to terminally ill individuals.
Nursing Facility/Long Term Care	Nursing	A Nursing Facility is an institution which is primarily engaged in providing to residents: skilled nursing care and related services for residents who require medical or nursing care, rehabilitation services for the rehabilitation of injured, disabled, elderly or sick persons, or on a regular basis, health-related care and services to individuals who because of their mental or physical condition require care and services which can be made available to them only through institutional facilities, and is not primarily for the care and treatment of mental diseases.
Personal Services Agency	Personal Care	Agencies that provide attendant care services; homemaker services that assist with or perform household tasks, including housekeeping, shopping, laundry, meal planning and preparation, and cleaning; and; companion services that provide fellowship, care, and protection for a client, including transportation, letter writing, mail reading, and escort services;that are provided to a client at the client's residence.
Skilled Nursing Facility/Long Term Care	Nursing	A Skilled Nursing Facility is an institution which is primarily engaged in providing to residents: skilled nursing care and related services for residents who require medical or nursing care, or rehabilitation services for the rehabilitation of injured, disabled, elderly or sick persons, and is not primarily for the care and treatment of mental diseases.
Residential Care Facilities (Assisted Living Facilities)	Residential	A Residential Care Facility is a facility that provides room, food, laundry, and occasional assistance in daily living for senior residents who need less service than the degree of service provided by a comprehensive care facility. There is an overall general supervision of health care, medications, and diets as defined in the written policies of the facility.
