Jewish Family Home Care is dedicated to providing quality care to the Jewish Community. Our caregiver staff is trained to be sensitive to traditional Jewish values, understanding of holidays and customs, Kosher laws, and traditional cooking and foods.
Well-trained home health aides assist with daily chores and personal care making the difference between feeling alone and helpless or feeling comfortable and secure in familiar surroundings. Our clients range from the frail elderly and Holocaust survivors to recently discharged hospital patients, or to those who simply need social stimulation to avoid depression and ensure psychological well-being.
Neglecting oneself is often the result when meeting the demands of caring for a loved one. We extend support and respite to a caregiver, usually a spouse, to relieve them in order to maintain their health and ability to continue.
Jewish Family Home Care provides help in the home, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities or in the hospital. Our staff responds to a multitude of needs, blending expertise and skill with genuine compassion and understanding. Our primary goal is to enhance the quality of life for our clients, and by doing so give peace of mind to their families.
Members of our in-office staff speak Yiddish, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish and German. (Please refer to "Our Team" on the JFHC website to meet our office staff.)
Jewish Family Home Care is a licensed agency, not a nurse registry. Our aides and certified nursing assistants are employees and are insured with worker's compensation, so that clients/families will not be liable for accidents that may occur on the job. Furthermore, our Director of Nursing, together with the Plan of Treatment by the client's physician, supervises all caregivers to assure that care is appropriate.
All our Home Health Aides are bonded and insured. Jewish Family Home Care is extremely selective in the hiring process. We obtain criminal background checks from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as part of our screening program. We secure a motor vehicle record on each aide to ensure a safe driving record. We require Social Security documentation authorizing the employee to work in the United States.
At Jewish Family Home Care, we take pride in matching the unique qualities of our aides to the individual client's requirements. Our specially trained Staffing Coordinators assign an appropriate Home Health Aide with the necessary skills, suitable experience, and personality to best meet our client's particular needs.
Our staff retention record is excellent. Some of our home health aides have been with Jewish Family Home Care for more than ten years, and many aides have been with us for more than five years. There is virtually no turnover in office staff and the relationship with our clients and their families is ongoing.
