Working closely with physicians, Hospice of the Piedmont utilizes interdisciplinary teams of nurses, nurse's aides, social workers, chaplains, volunteers and bereavement counselors to ensure that patients live and die as their families wish. Patients and their loved ones are provided with practical, emotional and spiritual support by members of the Hospice team including extensive bereavement support for the family following death of the patient. Patients of Hospice of the Piedmont also have Hospice House as an option if the family is unable to care for the patient at home.
