Advancing Excellence in America's Nursing Homes is a two-year initiative designed to validate quality care of long term care facilities nationwide. In Arkansas, the program has already attracted over half of the nursing homes now serving our frail and elderly. More and more nursing homes are signing on to Advancing Excellence to achieve these goals:

  • To prevent and minimize pressure ulcers
  • To continue to reduce the use of restraints
  • To improve the management of moderate to acute pain
  • To increase staff retention and continuity
