Amethyst Center, Inc. was Founded in 1992 as a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation by Claudia Merrill. Ms. Merrill currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer.

Amethyst Center, Inc. provides Home Care Services and Human Services to adults with mental illness and developmental disabilities throughout Michigan and Nevada. In addition to providing housing services, Amethyst Center now provides permanent housing services to the Homeless with Mental and Physical Challenges, In Home care services,and Private Staffing services. Our services are provided in a variety of settings. Services are provided in Group homes, apartments settings, individual homes and Assisted Living settings. Amethyst Center, Inc. is Licensed , Certified and Insured in Michigan and Nevada to offer specialized residential programs in our group home settings.

In addition to the current services Amethyst Center provides, The service base has expanded. Amethyst Center now provides In-Home Elder Care staffing services, to individuals ages 65 and older. Additional services will include Adult Day Care, 24 hour staffing services. Activities and leisure events, Health and Wellness services and Respite Care.
